Maximum distance between individual beams should be 20 cm. As a top layer we recommend at least 12 mm lightweight plywood or 9 mm waterproof birch plywood. Even better reinforcement can be achieved by creating a sandwich (= adding a second board from below). The total stiffness always needs to be adapted to the resulting load.
You can enlarge the bed to the maximum width of the chassi by cutting out the obstructing ribs of the wall framework. Then you can insert our window frame that will help you with cladding.
The desired final length of the bed determines the number of beams (see photo). Individual beams (190 cm) must be shortened individually according to the width of your car.
